let's count - nursery mural

this started as just one of my MA's projects but it looks like a local nursery is going to be having it on their wall :) they still have to provide me with the exact measures and i'll adapt the design to their space accordingly. it'll look a bit like the 3rd image. the plan is to have a coat of magnetic paint, then have the piece printed on transparent sticky vinyl and some of the shapes printed on thick magnet paper sheets so the children can interact and stick shapes on the wall as they play. endless fun for the little ones!
i'll photograph the whole thing when it's all done in the summer and do an update here.

Granimator ► getting there

hello! got an ipad? well, if you do, you'll be able to have lots of fun with my Granimator's artist pack . Granimator is a cool app which lets you play with these illustrations, move individual elements around, resize and customize it as you like. you make your own composition and every time, have a new wallpaper for your ipad! i really enjoyed creating this. 'getting there' is something i tend to say quite a lot, so to illustrate the concept with fishcopters, zebratrains, bearballoons, etc. was just great! so exciting as it's my first piece of work for ipad.
you can download Granimator and my 'getting there' pack from the app store now. have fun!

our house :: Shelter

'our house' is a collaboration with Amelia's Magazine + five ace illustrators Lesley Barnes, Emma Block, Natsuki Otani, Yelena Bryksenkova and Antonia Parker in aid of homeless charity Shelter. i am so pleased and honoured to be part of it. the work is being exhibited at Conisngsby Gallery and all pieces will be auctioned during the private view this evening. gutted i can't be there tonight as i have insane amounts of work to get on with, thus such short post.
Amelia wrote an awesome post about it. read it here. she visited the gallery today and took the last couple of photos. looks so good, doesn't it? :)
