lots of goodness going on around here lately. there's an ace review of my work in this month's Computer Arts magazine. this issue is packed with other awesome stuff, so do get a copy!
+ received my new postcards. quite pleased with them :)
++ finally got my paws on my love cats notebooks. beautifully screenprinted by Leila and Aleph from Corrupiola. they came round for tea & cake to give me the books in person. all the way from Brazil! how cool is that?! they also gave me some of their lovely letterpress sketchbooks and other gorgeous bits and bats. all so ace. thanks so much guys!
back to work now as the 'to do' list just gets longer whilst the days seem to get shorter. please spring, hurry back...

a box of whispers
hello, here it is :: my little box of whispers!
finally signed, sealed, delivered. it's my latest MA project and it's all about process and how i interact with my characters in the creation stages. i often get asked how i go about creating them. well, i talk to the little ones as i go. people often ask 'do they answer back?' yes, they do. not only that, but they also whisper things to me and to each other too. there are layers and layers of gossip and secrets going on in there. most of these are newly created and some got rescued from the rejects bin, so in a way we could say they're all happy to feature in the project.
hope you enjoy a little peek into their world and if it brings a smile to your minds / hearts, do let them know, so we know that our mission has been accomplished :)

some work in progress
daylight has been pretty rubbish for proper photos but i've been taking instagrams of the development. this project is all about whispers... it's progressing nicely, given the time scale, and i'm beginning to feel quite happy about how it's all coming together :) i should finish it off by tuesday next week. wish me luck!+ ace interview with my friend Lesley go read and be inspired.

new year's in Liege
happy new year friends! how's your 2012 started?
mine begun very nicely indeed as we spent it with family in Liege - Belgium. Brussels has the best carrousels i'll tell you... i've never seen anything as fantastic. wish i'd taken more photos. these were shot by both myself and my love of my life nephew Hector. he's the handsome one hugging the bear :)
wishing you all a wonderful and highly creative and productive year. i'm back in the studio now and have to work fast as deadline is looming... will pop round here with work in progress whenever i get a minute. bye for now!
