sketchbook letters + a crappy portrait

op went ok and i'm recovering faster that i expected :) thanks everyone who left a note, emailed or tweeted me get well wishes.
you guys are the best! hope you're having a nice weekend. mine is not going to bad, considering... i'll be back soon.
oh i almost forgot to mention it here :: i made a super crappy portrait for one of my fave sites. thanks Sarah for inviting me to contribute :) she also drew the slanket wizard > guess who hahaha

work in progress & grumble crumble

here's a bit of lettering work in progress. not sure if the idea will be approved but sure i'm having a good time cutting up and juxtaposing letters :)
it might be quiet around here for a little while as i'm having a 'minor' operation on thursday and will be unable to walk properly for at least 2 weeks. rubbish, really... if you're on twitter, you can follow my grumble crumble from there... i'll be mostly working on 'horizontal mode' inside my duvet tent. thank god for macbooks!

bookworms & ace post

those bookworms have been playing in my head for a little while so yesterday i decided to go ahead and just make them. great fun! want to know how to get one? well, they'll go free with any new purchase from my little shop :) > while they last, of course.

hello friends, happy valentines to you & happy new postcard display for me! i put it together yesterday out of a wee garden fence and am so glad that now i have more space to display all the love and inspiration you all send me in the post. the sun is shining and i've managed to take a couple of decent photos. hope you enjoy looking at it as much as i do. thanks again :)

YCN :: Endsleigh meeting room

this is a commission i recently finished for YCN. they're illustrations for the walls of Endsleigh insurance meeting rooms. i had a lot of fun as the subject explored was listen & learn :) the piece was printed on vinyl and installed in the room last week. YCN kindly sent me these shots of the installation process. the scale of the job did scare me a bit but it's all good in the end and i learnt quite a bit about saving artwork for this kind of thing.

love cats :: production process

remember the Love Cats? they were commissioned by the ace Corrupiola last year for a set of 3 notebooks covers and are now in the production stage! it's so nice to follow the screenprinting process here. a huge thank you to Leila for sharing those lovely images all the way from Brazil :) can't wait to see them for real... and it looks like it's going to be pretty soon.

Gatos & a half tidy workspace

the other month Toasted // Urban Graphics got in touch to license my Gatos to be part of their new card range. this week they kindly sent me a few in the post and they look quite nice, don't you think?!
today i've slept loads and then this afternoon decided to tidy up the workspace so i can make a cleaner start monday morning :) only got through half of it though. threw away lots of stuff, cleaned but the messy bookshelf still needs tackling... i'll get round to it eventually.

today i received the most beautiful surprise gift from my good friend Esti. isn't her calendar gorgeous? thank you so much Esti, it's now on display in my workspace and it's sure to paint all my days throughout the year :)
+ been sketchbooking and making valentines bookmarks to go with the Magic Bottles wee books. a huge thank you to everyone who's purchased a copy so far. they're certainly going fast, it's been a busy orders packing couple of days...
