i created this set of illustrations for 2011 Abu Dhabi art fair family guide. the fair started on wednesday. the guide comes in two versions both english and arabic and the overall format is A2 size folded up into an A5 size. can't wait to see it in print. the guys from Beam kindly sent me an overview of the final layout. i think it looks good and i really enjoyed working on them as i'd never drawn boys in kanduras or done any arabic lettering before:) thanks Beam and YCN for having me on board in this project.
5 notes:
this is absolutely amazing -- i love the colorful playfulness of it all, and of course, the lettering. did you go to the fair and follow your own guide?
fantastic!
Congratulations on a job well done! Even better than "well done", actually. Must have been a challenge considering keeping the cultural differences in mind.
the boys in kanduras are so sweet!
just a little Hello from me Thereza, hope everything is well:)
Congratulations... and I like the look of the Arabic version. The text looks so fluid. Like beautiful ribbons. It is a beautiful language.
