mail me art exhibition

so here's some photos from the Mail Me Art exhibition i attended today. although feeling a bit under the weather i was glad i made it. it was wonderful! my little foxes were there too :) meeting Darren and Jane (the project founders) was great, they're such nice people and what an ace job they did! the second book is out next week. the one you see in the photo is last year's and coincidently my little envelope doodle is next to Simon's and this was way before we met. watch out for our collaboration which is happening later this year and i'm so excited about it.
wishing you all a lovely weekend and on monday i'll be showing you a very moody cow :) mooooo

inspiration & exhibition reminder

hello, hello! just a quick post to share my inspiration board this week and sweet snailmail i got from the super talented Lydia Nichols. thanks Lydia, it was like opening an envelope filled with sunshine :)
+ Mail Me Art exhibition opening is today, i have a piece on show so if you're in london, do come along and say hello. for those of you who can't make it i'll be showing photos later, maybe even when i get back tonight. i'm sure it'll be a very nice show.
have an'ace friday!

how do you sort a mess like mine?

after much procrastination, yesterday afternoon i got round to tidying up my bookshelf as the clutter was getting out of control. only to find that it wasn't my books that was causing the trouble, but my sketchbooks and stuff i collect... despair hits.
truth be told, i have far too many moleskines and am still not sure about what to do with them. option 1 :: throw them in the bin.
option 2 :: put them all in a box and chuck them up in the loft. out of sight, out of mind... but is there really a point in this?
i do refer back to them sometimes when i'm out of ideas but i so need to make more space. besides, the sight of clutter also hinders my creative flow. so since last night the question has been: how do you sort a mess like mine?
maybe there's no solution as i know i'll be drawing on more sketchbooks and collecting more eye candy and the mountain will just carry on growing? is there a better way of at least seeing this as...? do you have other solutions that perhaps hasn't crossed my mind?
ok, enough of my blah moaning. hope you're having a good day!
and by the way, that pussy cat in the last photo was found safe and sound :)
oh and i almost forgot to mention, last sunday my work was featured on the lovely inkygoodness

work in progress 2 ::: life is good

life is good when it's summertime and you can go down the beach to watch kids play ball games and little horses pass by...
even better when you can have the biggest ice cream whilst keeping an eye out for shy foxes and curious bunnies :)
thank you so much for your inspiring thoughts on the subject on my last post and please do keep them coming so i can
complete this series in the nicest possible way. have a lovely weekend!

love cats | update

back to finishing off the Love Cats this morning. i've been making final mock ups of how each notebook will look like when they get screenprinted, the client is really happy with them and the screenprinting starts beginning of august. exciting! i still have to separate the colours and send the final files but the main job is pretty much finished on my side :)
now i've got to go and get on with another two deadlines, one of them involves a little red fox, the sister of the one above. she has been working closely with me. she's curious, playful and has lots of nice friends and a magic clock...
i wish i had a magic clock, i would definitely use it to multiply my daily play hours by seven.
what would you do if you had a magic clock?

+ mr postman brought me the hello postcards i ordered and do they look nice? yes, i'm quite happy with them and as promised will be updating my little shop soon.
++ hope you're having a good weekend so far. any nice plans? ok, going back to my quiet garden now with my pint of pink milk and two happy felines. wishing you all a lovely weekend :)
