some of the beauties Mr. Postman has been delivering around here lately. huge thanks Verity and Jennie for such gorgeous art to cheer up my days :) plus got my new business cards and really like them too! workspace is a bit chaotic at the moment so have to push some 'tidy up' and 'brain into gear' buttons to make a proper start. sun is shining but hay fever sneezing doesn't help grrrr :( wishing us all a positively productive week!
last sunday i went to a little local farm and it was great! met so many new friends. from goats to chickens, cats, owls, horses, peacocks and even found a cow trunk which i could not resist giving him a proper eye :) yay for london farms. 
today i went to the publishers club meet up in east London and it was so lovely to put a name to a face to many of the illustrators and publishers i often interact with, both here and through twitter. even Mr. Pickles came along with his lovely proud parents Ms Gemma Correll and Mr Anthony Zinonos :) and boy, not only this gorgeous pug is probably the most famous little dog around the illustration community but was he the star of the day? yes, he certainly was!
i just love those jobs when you can't really tell the difference between work and play, it's the case with this commission. still in progress and i'm enjoying every minute of it :) think i have now decided the colours, can only have a maximum of 4...

had a fantastic time at the Zine Swap private view at the Orange dot gallery in north London yesterday. oh my, there were just so many amazing zines and they've even set up a swap box there and you could bring your zines to swap so i took some of mine and did quite well with my exchange :) the exhibition goes on until 25th june so if you get a chance do go, it's wonderful. i'm now inspired and ready to make a start on my next zine! speaking of zines, just finished off a special post for Doodlers Anonymous and it's going to be all about zines, including pictures from my zine little library and a compilation of my favorites. keep your eyes peeled for that!
