have a fab weekend!
all work finished for the week and having had the most delicious dinner cooked by my love, it's now chill out time :)
hello, hello! how are we today? just thought it was time to show here my illustration for Poketo. it's for a wallet (front and inside) which will be released pretty soon, at the beginning of february. the theme of this line is paper cuts so there will be lots more goodness from other illustrators. i'll let you all know as soon as it's available for purchase. how's your day been? i've had a long one and am pretty tired. it's just so lovely to be home now, nice and warm. a hug from my tiny bear from the illu would make it even better!

the word for me this week has been 'stuck'... not sure whether it's because of the winter light, or lack of it, should i say... this afternoon i decided to stop thinking and play with the first random thing i could find from a drawer i don't open often. so there came oil pastels and i'd forgotten how much fun one can have with them. there's also something interesting about limiting oneself to one single medium. i played so much that i've ended up with a cool little book out of the experiment. i'll show the finished book here soon. i still have not found any solution for any of the ongoing projects i'm working on yet and this whole process can be quite frustrating... but this little exercise with the oil pastels reminded me that most of the time nice solutions can only be found through play :)

we have two christmas cactuses and it's interesting how they seem to bloom at different times every year. this one flowers just before xmas and the other one, which lives in our bedroom, usually starts to bloom sometime in january. it's quite strange because they're sisters and the colour of the flowers are also quite different. this one is much pinker... so, Ms Pinker is still flowering and this morning one the angel flowers fell by my feet. love it! and so does the other tiny fox 'in waiting' to maybe come into the artwork in progress... are you having a good day?

i think i said this on my last monday's post but will say it again: i'm just loving my january mondays... been getting up really early, getting stuff done and have even been finding myself with extra time to play. isn't it great? the weekend was nice and my love got me the loveliest present ::: a dvd box set of The Pink Panther's complete cartoon series. i was chuffed and can't stop watching it! good job there are over a hundred episodes to watch so when i get to the end i can start again :) this one of the pink 'milk' errr punch is one of my absolute favorites!
so it's snowing again and i braved it all the way to the post office to post some orders only to find it was closed, due to the weather! tsk tsk.... can't wait for spring to come, i've so had enough of this winter. in the meantime i'll just keep recycling and creating out of the paper box. happy wednesday!

on my 'little things' to do list: :> get a frame for my beautiful Eduardo Munos Bacs's screeprint poster i brought back from Cuba....... a new tiny moleskine project. got the books but haven't had time to make a start yet :( .......... paper boats and planes. obsessing with them at the moment so will be making something out of them too ...........

been baking and experimenting with polymer clay, great fun! now have to sort out some messy boxes and finish off a job to be delivered tomorrow morning. i am loving my 2010 mondays so far... for some reason the levels of procrastination have declined considerably. may it remain as such. what are you up to today?

today's randoms on my way to and back from work. London feels like a gigantic freezer at the moment. this tiny fox here is so cold... i hope you have a warmer weekend, wherever you are :)

another snowy and slippery day, but who cares when i can 'find' all these babies to play with?! remember the ones from last year? well, those can now join the family :)

it's good to be indoors, working in my warm, cosy and messy workspace watching the tiny dots of snow as they fall. so inspiring... also having fun with my origami paper pack birthday present my friend Niki sent me. thanks girl! it's all white, all good round here :)
