Crude // editorial illustrations

i never had to work as fast as i did today to deliver this brief but got there eventually and it's now live on Amelia's Magazine review of the film Crude, a great article by Amelia Gregory. four hours to come up with an idea, draw and deliver... i know, it looks quite different from how i usually work as the subject wasn't the easiest to illustrate with something simple, yet meaningful in such a short space of time. anyway, i rather like departing from comfort zones and this job has made me aware of them. ok, now back to working on another job, a lot of fun. i'll show it here pretty soon. for now, stay warm and happy! it's bitterly cold here :::::::

I like this illustration!

yes, it's different. Especially the person doesn't look "Thereza" ...

but that doesn't mean I don't like it! Much more raw and aggressive than what I've seen before.

fantastic!!! the eyes are signature you, but the rest of it looks like new territory, one that we'll hopefully see more of in the future. short timeframes are good for pushing out different styles, don't you think? congratulations on the feature!

now i have to go chase down my daughter who ate ALL of the m&ms while i was typing this. grrr.
