rejects museum

i have a little box where i dump most of my loose sketches and cut ups in some hope that one day they might make it to an illustration or something like that but the box was bursting with stuff so i decided to sort it out this morning... i might do a collage and if it works it'll be the first of a series. that way they don't stay cluttering up the box. like a little museum of rejects. what do you think?

but the last couple of days have been quite disastrous... my broadband was down for almost 48 hours >> thanks to Virgin Net << and i've got flu... good times :::: hoping for better days :)

this week in pictures

telephone doodles, lots of paperwork, this is not a book, pretty autumn leaves, sunshine shadows, poppy and early morning gray sky... i have now finished work for the week, it's been a ridiculously busy week. ready to crack open a bottle of wine and chill out. soo tired, an X factor evening date never seemed so appealing :)

busy week

it's 5.15 am, not even the birds are awake yet... i got up at 4.30 am this morning, now getting ready to start a busy working week at TBI . it's how it goes some mondays, when i have to oversee the delivery and distribution of the magazine in london. i quite like early mornings sometimes:) have a lovely week, folks!

frieze art fair

my other half had a day off today and took me to the frieze art fair in Regent's Park. lots of eye candy to see and about the same amount of what i consider rubbish... still, a nice afternoon out :) those are some of the decent pictures i managed to take. the highlight for me was David Shrigley's corner (last photo) > his work always makes me laugh ::::: plus some of the characters walking about ::::: hey, it's friday and i'm enjoying a fresh glass of wine now, have a fab weekend too!

looking up, down and sideways

autumn blue skies make me happier :) it's also quite good for random photography so got my camera out of the bag while i was waiting for my train in kingston this afternoon. on another note, speaking of random i think i need a plan for a less randomized working schedule... maybe i should go back to alexandra's series on art as business and re read all posts... note to self: need more structure!!!!

been dealing with lots of paperwork all day today ... b o r i n g ... time for a little rest now, playing with those new babies :) still in progress... happy tuesday!

back to work

best friend's gone back to Brazil, we had loads of fun around London. the week with her went really fast... now it's back to work time, the sun is shining and autumn feels fresh and full of lovely colours :) been catching up on e mails and organizing the workspace to make a start. as the morning has been so busy i decided to try the user friendly random number generator to pick an entry for the catfish print giveaway and the winner is comment number 41, that is Kristi :)

too much fun

... and loving being a bit of a tourist in my own town... well, she's my best friend, since school days... sunny, a break from the rain so, london eye it was today. no work at all this week... :) sorry folks, i will only be able to sort out the draw for the giveaway on monday now, thanks for all of your entries, you can still do so until monday morning... hope you're having a great week too :) laters!

'cleaning up' monday

good monday! spend half the morning cleaning my ibook's hard drive and found those randoms. i thought it makes a happy monday quilt :) lots more to clean up around here as my best friend arrives this evening to spend a week here with us. i'm so excited and looking forward to catching up. it's been a long time... so will be doing very little work this week... will pop round here whenever i can to share some bits of the fun :) have a wonderful week!
