beginnings

it always takes me a while to get into the spirit of mondays but i'm getting there and this whole week i'll be busy starting on a project that's been in the drawer for too long now. it'll be a journey, an adventure and i'll be posting bits of the progress here :) happy beginnings, happy monday! ♥

things i saw today

i really enjoyed interacting with this Anish Kapoor's piece at the royal academy today. both surreal and enlightening in terms of perspective... it somehow reminded me of Tommy's by the who... the pinball wizard sort of thing... isn't it just magnificent?! i also loved finding this little deer and had a good time watching the sculptures take form by the artists in the south bank :) have you seen anything interesting today?

shelter house of cards // exhibition opening

last night i attended the private view opening party for the Shelter House of Cards exhibition as my little deers two of hearts card was being exhibited there too :) the gallery is beautiful, it was a wonderful event and i couldn't resist posting here some shots of my favorite pieces. i also got to meet and hang out with some of the other illustrators featured on the card quilt which was fantastically put together by Amelia's Magazine. The exhibition is on until monday 28th sept, so if you're in London, go and see it!

learning to love my chaos

days are getting darker... been tidying up and gathering old and more recent sketches, cleaning up the space, etc. it feels better now, the pile was getting a bit out of control. also came over my fave book by Paul Davis from my little library, am really enjoying revisiting it :) happy wednesday, folks!

anthology of illustration

finished a couple of deadlines and am now busy finishing off my last illustration for the Amelia's Anthology of Illustration book, which will be published later this year. this one is all about photovoltaic technology. i will show you everything in one post once this final one is ready :)
