hello lovely people! here's my weekword contribution this week > reinventing from an old Vogue magazine that had been lying around the house for a good while. was up with the birds this morning, so made lots of free time to play. the blue bird came to me as a distant memory of this film entitled 'the blue bird' i watched several times when i was little. it's really beautiful... i also found this vintage frame i got from a charity shop ages ago and it's perfect for it :)

other news: i forgot to mention it here >> Amelia from Amelia's magazine emailed me the other week to let me know my two of hearts card has been selected for the shelter card quilt and will be exhibited and auctioned for the cause. cool, huh?! i just finished my anthology of illustration one, so fingers crossed. will show it here soon.

a beautiful day

starting with a strange but beautiful weather pattern // rain then five minutes later sunshine... // and so on... then the postman brings me this gorgeous mail delight from lovely and super talented Lea. envelope with penguins, panda bear print, swallows card and beautiful photographs... how lucky am i?! thank you so much Lea, you're ace, i love everything! how much better can a day get?!

an 80's adventure

i love going to camden, it always feels like a mini holiday and today was even more surreal... my friend Niki won a couple of itunes tickets to see A HA, yes, a ha (thus the 80's vibe going on since last night) and so i went with her... we had a few bevvies before the gig, weren't allowed to get in straight away as we got there 'late' and the place was already packed... but with my nice but feisty brazilian side, we got in eventually and did get to hear 'take on meeeee, ta ke on me... ' oh the 80's, this love x despise thing... i never liked a ha, to be honest, but tonight made it a great 80's adventure, just as i thought it would be :)

mail doesn't come better than this. today i got el justiciero postcards and business cards and they look as good as i expected! got a card from little Bry - a dear friend's daughter - and the latest and best pair of shoes - a present from my other half. happy me! :::::

tidying up

my workspace can become chaotic to a point that i can't actually get any work done. this morning it felt like this... so i'm going through everything now, lots of throwing away stuff and filing whatever needs to be kept. i know in a few weeks time i'll be having to do it again. it's a rather funny cycle. any tips for keeping the workspace 'workable'?
