it's just so nice when you do make time 'in between busy times' to meet likeminded creative souls. and that's what we did this afternoon! lovely
Alexandra and i arranged to meet at the london graphic centre and then went to a nice catch up session over coffee and hot chocolates at my fave cake shop in the west end. she had a sneak preview of my still unfinished 'horse and the seed' book whilst i enjoyed her book with some of my absolute favorite of her pieces. can't wait to get my copy now. apparently that'll happen on our next date :)
just great! also got a beautiful present, an enamel original tile by Mrs Hedberg. ohhh am over the moon with it! still haven't decided whether to hang it on the wall or have it on my desk so i can look at it all the time :) the weather was ok, not too cold and we had a lovely and relaxing time. thank you
Alexandra for my present and for making my day a much nicer one!

...and that's what i've been up to today - putting the finishing touches on my illustration print portfolio. thankfully the light was decent enough to do the photographs. do tell me what you think! a lot of time and effort have been spent on this...tomorrow i'll share some shots of the 'cockney geezers' final postcards :) then i will show you the finished 'horse and the seed' book. have a wonderful last week of the year!
back to work in good spirits but it didn't work... pretty much every technical thing that could have gone wrong, did! i.e. printers, cropping, mounting, etc... my other half kindly offered a hand and slashed his thumb with the scalpel, i've never seen so much blood in my whole life! poor thing.
ohhh boxing day...been lazing around all day and having a good time playing with my new bird series. will share more soon :) hope you're having fun too!
